The firearms company Norinco (China North Industries Group Corporation Limited) manufactures copies of popular sport and service pistols. One of them is the Norinco Mod. 1911 A1, based on the legendary Colt 1911 pistol, available in various versions and calibers.
Interestingly, in the early stages of production, Norinco Mod. 1911 A1 pistols were also imported into the USA, where they gained popularity among shooters. This semi-automatic pistol is single-action (SA), with a locked breech, made of excellent high-strength steel. It features a 5" barrel with a six-groove rifling. The barrel's rifling is hard chrome plated, significantly increasing its lifespan to two or three times that of non-hard chrome barrels. The front sight is fixed, and the rear sight is adjustable for windage. The weapon has a typical grip safety. The plastic grips have fine checkering. The surface finish is black. This popular and reliable firearm is intended for self-defense and sport shooting, including action or training shooting. It is trouble-free and solid, and it can also serve as a solid foundation for experienced gunsmiths to transform it into an excellent firearm for top-level sport shooters.
