The Glock 17 Gen5 is a semi-automatic pistol chambered in 9mm Luger, available in the standard size, suitable for both action shooting and as a duty weapon. The pistol is enhanced with front slide serrations for easier manipulation, a MOS system for mounting optics, and a threaded barrel for suppressor attachment.
The removed finger grooves and front serrations on the lower part of the grip are new modifications of the FS variant of the Glock 17 Gen5 pistol. The Glock 17 Gen5 with ambidextrous slide stop lever features a new finish on the slide and barrel (nDLC), creating a smoother and darker surface. The fifth-generation Glock has eliminated the finger grooves, contributing to a better grip, especially when wearing gloves.
In tactical or sport shooting, quick handling of the firearm is crucial, which is why Glock has decided to expand the magazine well. Inserting the magazine into the well is now even easier and faster. The front serrations on the slide improve the manipulations options of Glock pistols. With the serrations, you can easily perform a fast press check before and after shooting. The Modular Optic System (MOS) configuration allows the direct mounting of various optical systems onto the pistol slide, providing expanded options for optics attachment.
